09.35 from my local bus stop, 09.46 arrival at Knutpunkten (the train, bus and ferry terminal i Helsingborg), the ferry left at 10.10, arived in Helsingør 10.30, I caught the bus towards Humlebæk at 10.36 and arrived outside Louisiana Museum of Modern Art at just before 11. I went off the bus one stop too early though. I. was waiting for me at the next stop, shaking her head mildly as she saw me walking down the road.

A fantastic day with grandiose light over Öresund. As usual we saw new perspectives of the museum garden. No matter how many times you come here to make a photo shoot, there will always be a new and interesting angle of the place to catch.

We started the exhibition going by submerging ourselves in a work by Pipilotti Rist – Homo sapiens sapiens. Lying down on a low sofa, watching the ceiling where a “video” work was projected. “Two naked Eve figures float innocently and lustily around on the cealing of the Hall Gallery, where Homo sapiens sapiens is currently shown. Luring and elevating Louisiana’s guests into a colour saturated, Paradisiac universe.” (text from www.louisiana.dk). The accompanying music helped us to slow down and really become involved with the show. Very nice and pleasant, and away my back ache (but the colours were really over saturated).
After this we began studying the other main exhibition…Colour in Art. I had no big hope for this exhibit but was proven completely wrong, it was a completely magnificent and almost endless display of fantastic paintings (mainly) from the swiss Mertzbacher collection. This collection is only recently started to be shown in public. There’s Monet, Kandinsky, Nolde, Miró, Matisse, Malevitch and more wonders from the collection – and in addition fine stuff from the Louisiana collection.
There was also a superb display of recent aquisitions to the Louisian collection in a separate exhibition. A must see as well.
